Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day! We started this morning off right and let Rich sleep in for the morning. The girls and I got dressed and the girls put on their Father's Day shirts. We made Rich, coffee, oj, and scrambled eggs, bacon and biscuits for breakfast. We didn't let him come out of his room until it was all done and set on the table. It was yummy and he enjoyed every bite!

Of course, we had to get dad some presents and he loved them all! We got him some new tools for his grill, new Wii games and the girls got him a stone for the garden. It was a fun morning and now Rich and the girls are playing their new Wii games. I am not sure who likes them most! :) Lillian loves games so much and she is either stealing my phone to play them, stealing the computer and now stealing Rich's new games! ) But, daddy is sharing!

And guess what? Lillian lost her second bottom tooth this morning! It came out while trying to get her ready for the day. So, she was thrilled to show Rich when we went in the bedroom this morning. No more wiggling! I don't feel any more lose ones for now, so this might be it for a while. The tooth fairy will come tonight!!!

Happy Father's Day honey! You are the best dad and husband in the whole world. We love you and hope you enjoy your day. I hope it will be a relaxing one and of course, we will spend it with friends this afternoon. We are truly lucky to have you in our lives and we hope to show you that everyday just not today. I love you forever!
Love Always,
Julie

San Antonio Half Marathon

Today I set out on my goal to run my first half marathon. And I DID IT! I was so nervous this morning waking up in the hotel room. I had to leave by myself because Lydia was still sleeping in the other room. Of course, Lillian was up with me at 5:45am! And no, she didn't go back to sleep!

I headed to the marathon, got signed in and put my number on my shirt. The nerves were running high! I always run for exercise, but never for a race. I was not going for a fast race, but just wantd to finish and not walk. And I didn't walk and finished! It wasn't the best time, but oh well. I felt so good just doing it!
Rich had shirts made for the race and surprised me at the finish line. The shirts the girls had on said, "Julie's Fans GO MOM!" It was wonderful to have them supporting me and made the whole race worth it! I was quite tired when I finished and my feet were killing me, but it was over. Now, on to the next one! Let's hope it isn't quite so hot the next time! :)

Sea World San Antonio

We went to Sea World this weekend with our friends Ronnie, Nina, Veronica and Alyssa. Lillian has been there before, but it was Lydia's first visit. It is always a great place to visit and we wanted to go one last time before leaving Texas.

It was a warm day and we started with the Shamu show. It is the best show and the girls are always amazed by Shamu and his talents. Lydia was stunned and just kept starring at the water and waiting to see Shamu and his friends do all their tricks. It is always fun to watch everyone get soaked in the wet zone too!

We decided to watch one more show with beluga whales, dolphins, birds and trapeeze artists. I think all the animals keep the children intrigued and ready to watch the shows. The trapeeze artists were amazing and their flips and turns keeps everyone starring until the end. We grabbed some lunch and hit the water park. It was time to cool off!

Lydia loved the lazy river and so did the other girls. That is until the lifeguards said Lydia's vest wasnt' coast guard approved and she couldn't wear it. She was floating down the river by herself with me by her side and then they took her fun away! :( The life vest they gave her didn't fit and kept riding up on her, so she was done by that point. Poor baby! Just let her have her fun! But, we went to the wave pool and another little area before drying off and finishing the rest of Sea World.

We saw another show and rode some rides and then it was time to go. It was getting late and the girls needed some much needed rest. It was a long ride and Lydia of course screamed the whole time. When is this girl going to like her car seat? Geesh! It was a long ride up, a long day in the blazing sun and a long ride to the hotel. But, it was a wonderful day with our friends and who could ask more? Not me!

Lydia's First Hair Cut

So, Lydia doesn't have much hair for a 20 month old baby, but she still needed a trim! :) Lydia did so great at the hair salon and seemed to enjoy her new hair cut. She was showing it off to all of her friends...she would pull her hair up and make some noise to look at her hair! :) She did move a lot in the chair and thank goodness the stylist was so patient with her. Of course, we had to give a big tip!

But, Lydia thinks she is a big girl now with her new hair cut. She is doing well and talking so much these days. She has added so many words to her vocabulary- puppy, kitten, up, blue, baby, etc. Plus, she says, "LA LA" for Lillian. It is too sweet! She loves to walk around holding Lillian's hand and that is enough to melt any one's heart. She is full of charm and sass all at once! She even walks with sass and attitude!

Enjoy!

Disney Land 2010!

WE SURVIVED DISNEYLAND!!! Yes, that is right! We are home from our week at Disney Land in CA! Boy, was it wild, crazy and tons of fun. :) The girls really enjoyed all the magic of Disney and so did Mom and Dad!

We managed to see all the characters Disney had to offer and not only fill one autograph book for each girl but two books! We have signatures everywhere! We met most of them at Character Dinings, but ran into a few in the park too. Lillian and Lydia were so fascinated with the characters during the meal times that they managed to eat one bite at each meal. That is right...we paid $34.99 an adult and managed to eat one bite of food! Each meal lasted 5 minutes and then we spent the rest of the time listening to Lillian, "When are they coming to my table?" I don't see how the girls survived on such little food! :) And yes, I am in most of those pictures. Not by choice! You all know I HATE pictures of myself, but Lydia wouldn't do it without me! Funny enough, Lydia only warmed up to Chip and Dale! I think it is because they have cheeks like hers! :)

We hit all the rides the park had to offer including fireworks each and every night. We didn't make it to bed until almost 11:00pm most nights and Lillian was up by 6:00am faithfully! She didn't want to miss a step! And we really did run from ride to ride, did the switching off option at the rides and made the most of every minute!

I will say CA is beautiful! I have never been there and it was gorgeous! The weather was amazing and because both kiddos were napping daily I managed to get in two runs. Running in CA was awesome and so different then the heat of TX. I enjoyed being out doors there and would love to see more of CA on another trip. This was enough for all of us!

Lillian enjoyed Bippity Boppity Boo the most! She was turned into a Princess! The fairy godmother told her, "Once you are a princess, then you are always a princess!" Like she needed to hear that! She spent the rest of the trip wearing the princess hair and telling everyone she was a Princess- A REAL PRINCESS!! Too cute! Lillian also rode all the big rides- Splash Mountain, Big Thunder and Space Mountain! She loved riding all the grown up rides! She said all the Princesses were her favorite!

Lydia enjoyed it all and was engrossed in it all too! She loved the Tea Cups, Dumbo and Carousel rides. And the fireworks were amazing too her! She just watching intently and then Tinker Bell and Dumbo flew over our heads and she was blown away! Lydia really hung in there like a big girl and enjoyed it all with her sister. She managed to keep in step with all of us running a hundred miles an hour!

We made it home and the girls are sleeping now. They are exhausted! And as you can see from the picture taken on the plane, mommy was too! That was taken after Lydia had screamed for two hours! But, we are home and the magic of Disney is still with us! Love you all!

Love,

Julie
