One More Party...

Tonight I took the girls to a Halloween Party at a friend's house. All the kiddos looked adorable in their costumes! It was funny to see the ones who were already over Halloween because they have been wearing their costumes all week...they didn't want to wear them tonight. hee hee

It was fun getting together tonight and Halloween was just another reason to have the kids play and have some fun. We all brought a little dish and had a potluck dinner. The kiddos also did a little craft. Most of all, they just enjoyed playing outside. The backyard was full of kiddos running around and playing this afternoon. Always a reason to make you smile! :)

So, now they are snug in their beds dreaming of trick or treating tomorrow night. Lillian has been counting down all week waiting for tomorrow. She said she is going to ring the doorbell and say, "BOO! TRICK OR TREAT!" Then, she said, "I hope I remember to say it!" Too funny! She is never at a loss for words! :)

So, good night ghosts and goblins! We will be looking for you tomorrow night!!!

Halloween Parties!!

Hello everyone! I guess today starts the eating candy and Halloween Parties!! We went this morning to Lillian's Halloween Parade at school. Lillian and Lydia both got dressed up and ready to go this morning bright and early. Last year, the school had them sing Halloween songs by class, but this year they simply walked around and waved to their friends one class at a time. I was really hoping for the singing because I love hearing the funny songs! But, Lillian performed some for me at home!

Lydia did wonderful at Lillian's school this time. If you remember from Lillian's birthday party at her school, we were sent out to the hall. But, this time, Lydia behaved her sweet self and we made it through chapel. YEAH!!!

Then, Lydia and I left Lillian's school and headed over to her little Halloween party with our Music Maker friends. We sang songs, danced and played some fun games. We did the cake walk a couple of times and won some treats. We didn't need them! I can't get Lydia to stop eating M&Ms these days and she gets that sweet tooth from me and her dad. :) She had two small snack bags while we there and then it was time to head home!

It was a fun morning and tonight we are off to another Halloween party with friends!!! TRICK OR TREAT!!!!

Love you all!

Open Gym at PowerHouse!

The girls and I went to Powerhouse for open gym this morning. We had a lot of fun playing, dancing, swinging and just being girls. All of our friends came along too for the fun! D'Ann, owner and instructor, worked with Lillian a little this morning. I really wanted Lillian to try to flip on the swing. I knew she would love it once she knew how to do it. And she did! She loved it and kept trying again and again.

Then, they worked together on a back handspring. Lillian has never tried before and it was fun to watch her this morning.
Even Little Miss had fun this morning dancing with her sister and jumping on the trampoline. Lydia enjoys the activities and always tries to keep up with big sister. It is fun to watch them in action! Another fun morning for the Martin girls! Enjoy the video!

Love you all!

Sparta Fall Festival!!

Wow, just when I think I have it all under control...God decides to throw me a Fall Festival to realize I am at his mercy! It was a beautiful day in Texas and the perfect weather for a Fall Festival. We went to Lillian's friend, Allyson, school at Sparta Elementary. Lillian wanted to be a bride this year and so I made Lydia her flower girl. We also have another costume to debut later in the week. Both girls look so adorable and got lots of compliments. Lillian loved the other kiddos costumes and kept shouting, "Look Mom, Hannah Montana!!!"

They had a great Fall Festival complete with bounce houses, carnival games inside and outside, musical chairs, cake walk, decorating crafts and yummy food. Let's just say the Martin Girls left their mark on Sparta Elementary and we can never go there again! :)

Lillian loved all the games and played everything more than once. Lillian isn't a big candy person unless it is M&Ms, so she won all the candy and guess who ate all the candy? Yes, Little Miss Flower Girl Lydia. I couldn't keep her from grabbing candy, lollipops and cookies! Lillian, the Bride, would play her game while Lydia was sneaking under all the tables for the candy. She could sniff it out! Plus, Lydia wouldn't even play the games. She didn't need too since everyone just kept giving her candy because of her turkey thighs! If she wasn't eating the candy, then she was grabbing all the balls to the games and not letting anyone play! :)

Lydia was all over the place and trying to keep up with two was almost impossible! And you should have seen us waiting in line for food...even some middle school girl helped me rope in Lydia... climbing up hills, falling down, eating food off the dirty ground, etc. You name it...it happened today! And I just have to thank Jessica for making me laugh at myself and remind me I am doing the best I can! :)

It was a fun afternoon and if you can tell in my words...I am sitting here laughing at myself! Happy Halloween and we are off to a great week!!!

Love you all!

Flying!!

Today we went to Liam's birthday party at Gabrielle's Gymnastics. The girls had a lot of fun running around, jumping on trampolines, jumping in the foam pit and more. Lillian had a chance to fly through the air like Daddy today. She had a lot of fun on the swing and the higher she went the more she loved it. She did it three times until it was time to put it away for cake. I think she wants to fly like Daddy someday!!! I know she gets this from him! :)

Go Lillian Go!!!

Love you all!

Salado Pumpkin Patch!!!

This morning we went to another pumpkin patch...okay, no more for us! :) It was sunny and cool outside this morning and a perfect day for the park too. We met some friends out at the pumpkin patch and just walked around looking at pumpkins and the magnificent old buildings in Salado. The pumpkins didn't look so nice due to the weather lately, but the place the patch was located was gorgeous! There was even an old church there that we walked around and they still hold service there. The kiddos loved exploring this old place, but we had to leave before we got too wild! :)

Then, we went to a park for playtime and lunchtime. We decided to have a picnic lunch at the park and it was the perfect morning for it. Lillian enjoyed playing with her friends and so did Lydia. Thanks for inviting us Angela and Katie! Enjoy the pictures!

Love you all!

Silo Pumpkin Patch!!

Today we went to another pumpkin patch in the afternoon. This one was local and just a short drive from our house. We have now gone three years in a row and they still remember us! This is also a Christmas tree farm and we buy our Christmas tree from them too every year.

We had another gorgeous day in Texas and met some of our friends out at the patch. We started with pumpkin painting. Lillian loves to paint and picked a HUGE pumpkin today to decorate with paint. Lydia just watched her sister today. :)

We then went for tattoos! Lydia got her first tat...isn't that a sweet moment for a mom to watch!
hee hee She did great getting her tattoo and sat so still...the only time she is ever still! :) Then, Lillian got a tattoo and two more before we left the farm! She loves tattoos and asked me the other day when she could get a permanent one. I told her calmly when she was 18 years old and she said okay. What do you say when you and hubby both have one? :)

Then, we hopped in the hay ride line and waited and waited and waited! That was one long line for the hayride, but the kiddos did great. Lydia kept finding new friends and would snack all along the way. Lillian jumped in the hay for a little while and then came back to wait with me. Finally, it was our turn and it was one BUMPY ride! I got knocked off the hay bale onto the floor and my purse followed with everything spilling out. Just another day for the Martin Girls!!!

We finished the afternoon by running through the maze and having duck races. Lillian beat me every time with her rubber duckie! The pumps are so much fun to operate and you have to pump hard to win. But, I was defeated!

What a great weekend for the girls! And mom too!!! Love you all and good night!

SweetBerry Farms!!!

Today we hit the highway again....The Martin Girls on the open highway AGAIN!! It was finally a gorgeous day on the weekend and we went to a pumpkin patch with The Jones Family. We have never been to this farm in Marble Falls, TX which is about an hour and a half from our home in Texas. But, it was worth the drive!

We arrived this morning and the place was hopping with excitement and activities! We didn't even do it all before we had to leave to come home. The activities included pumpkin painting, hay rides, pony rides, maze, scarecrow stuffing, sand art and more. It was Lydia's first time at a pumpkin patch and she had a lot of fun! She did great for only having a 20 minute nap! She didn't fuss once and played like the rest of the kiddos.

Lydia and Lillian both painted pumpkins. Okay, so I painted Lydia's pumpkin for her, but we made a big smiley face. Lillian painted two pumpkins! We hopped on the hay ride which took us to the other side of the farm. You got off the hayride and picked gorgeous flowers. Then, you hopped onto another tractor to finish the hayride. It was Lydia's first hayride too today! She loved it as much a Lillian. The hayride was adorable and we went through Scarecrow Village which showed scarecrows doing various activities- playing basketball, playing golf, etc. It was cute!

We then enjoyed some yummy homemade pumpkin spice ice cream! Boy, was it yummy! We headed home from the farm all full and happy! It feels like Fall now! Thanks Jessica for the morning and afternoon!

Love you all!

All By Herself!!

We spent the afternoon at the park today. It turned out to be a beautiful Texas day and it was a gorgeous 72 degrees. Who could ask for anything more? Lillian did and she got it! :) She made it across the monkey bars for the first time today all by herself! I was so proud of her and she was proud of herself. She jumped right up, grabbed the bars and off she went bar by bar. She was jumping up and down and kept saying, "I did it! I did it!!" WAY TO GO LILLIAN!!! She wanted me to film it for her daddy and we ran back to the car for the camera. So, this one is for you honey!!!!

Good night my love! We miss you each and every day!

All our love,

Julie

Ps- I had to include Lydia too!!!

Miley Cyrus Concert!!!

I MIGHT EVEN BE A ROCK STAR

IF YOU ONLY KNEW THE REAL ME
I MIGHT EVEN BE A ROCK STAR!!!!

GO MILEY!!! GO MILEY!!!

We hit the open road today with our awesome friends- The Kings and Dathes- and headed to San Antonio! Miley Cyrus was waiting for us in concert tonight! Lillian woke up early this morning ready to head to the concert. We had to make sure hair and make up was perfect and nails too! We left around 2:30pm this afternoon and met up with our friends in Pflugerville which is an hour from our house. Then, we all piled in one car and kept on going to San Antonio!

The girls all looked adorable in their Hannah Montana outfits and were all excited! They played games along the way and colored for a little while. And of course, we listened to Miley Cyrus in the car and jammed out to some songs! We even watched the Hannah Montana movie. I actually got to sit in the back and watch it this time! It was loads of fun along the way!

We stopped for dinner and then went to the stadium. There were so many people there and yes mostly little girls. All the girls had such wonderful outfits on and it was fun just watching other little girls go by and see how they were dressed. We all got glowsticks and a concert book for souvenirs and posed for some awesome pictures! We decided to go find our seats at this point...it took a while to walk all the way up to the top of the stadium! hee hee It was way way up, but didn't spoil the fun!

Miley's older brother, Trace, opened up for her tonight. He wasn't the greatest, but it was worth the wait. Miley came on stage and all the screaming began! You just heard little girls going wild and moms too! :) Lillian was so excited to see Miley and you could hear her screaming over everyone. It was adorable!!

Miley put on a great show! She did a lot of costume changes and kept the concert rocking! She did a lot of ballads at one point and I must admit, it was starting to put the girls asleep. The concert didn't start until 8:00pm which is already past their bedtime. But, once a rock song came on, then they all perked right up! It was so much fun to watch them sing her songs and I was thrilled to sing and dance with them too. It was Lillian's first concert and such a special one to share it with friends. It meant a lot!

Miley put on a great show for an hour and 20 minutes and then we started our journey home. Finally, at 1:00am we pulled in the driveway. Lillian slept about an hour on the way home. Veronica and Lillian were pumped up from the concert and continued to play for over an hour on the way home. They even pretended to sleep! I was pretending I was in my bed too! hee hee

What a great night! Lillian's first concert...what a special moment! And I adored it too!!! Good night girls and sweet dreams. I bet you will all be dreaming of ROCK STARS!!!

Love you all!

Julie

Thomas the Train!!!

Toot Toot! Here we come Thomas the Train! All Aboard the Choo Choo Train All Aboard!!!

That's right...today we headed to
Burnet, Texas to see Thomas the Train! It was a cold and rainy day. It somehow went from summer to winter in one day. It was 55 degrees and rain poured almost all day. But, that didn't stop us from loading up for a road trip with friends! The girls really enjoyed the afternoon.

We arrived and the rain was pouring down! We had umbrellas and all still managed to get wet. The kiddos (Jack, Lily, Lillian and Lydia) all did fabulous and no one even complained once about being wet and cold. We first hit the gift shop...okay, so I was cold! :) We only managed to buy two things and I was impressed with Lillian not wanting the most expensive thing! :)
We decided to go back outside and found a tent set up with train tables, coloring pages and tattoos. Lillian wanted to color and so she sat down at a table to color a quick picture. Lydia just walked around for the most part. Lydia loved the train table too and played with it for a little while.

Then, a quick bathroom break and in line to wait for Thomas to arrive!
Lillian was so excited to see Thomas arrive and she was screaming, "Thomas Thomas Thomas!" It was so cute and Thomas looked cute too! It was basically just a line of old train cars with Thomas in front. But, Lillian didn't care! She was ready to get on board and ride the train! We got into our seats and off we went on the train track. Lydia did great too for her first train ride. She even looked outside some and played with her sister. Lillian was starring outside and looking at all the scenery- mainly old houses, trees and cows. But, she loved every minute and didn't want to get off the train. We went 12 1/2 minutes backwards and 12 1/2 minutes forward.

After our train ride, then we decided to get a tattoo and head home. It had stopped raining for 20 or 25 minutes, but it started raining again. So, we headed to the car and went for ice cream. That was the last thing we needed, but it was good! The Martin girls headed back on the open road home and now the house is quiet. The girls went to bed early tonight...exhausted from one crazy weekend and dreaming of rock stars and trains! Mommy is too! Good night!

Love you all!

ROCK STAR PARTY!!!!

Today was the big ROCK STAR HANNAH MONTANA BIRTHDAY PARTY!!! What a fantastic morning! Lillian woke up really early again this morning and couldn't wait for her party to begin. We stayed up last night and put on her fingernails (press ons) and she couldn't wait to complete her outfit. Her nails were black with pink polka dots. :) She got up and out of bed with no problem this morning and got her Hannah Montana outfit on fast! :) She brushed those teeth and skipped breakfast just counting down the minutes until her friends arrived for the big show. She couldn't wait to show the party off to everyone!

Our great friend, Dave, came last night and helped set up for the party. He set up two disco balls for me that spinned, shined and glowed different colors. I hung stars from the ceiling, set up the stage, placed the microphone on the stage, set up the guitars and drums and got ready to ROCK!!! The disco balls were amazing!!!

Even Lydia got dressed up in her Rock Star onsie that said, "Little Sisters Rock" and put on her pink skull leg warmers. She was too stinking cute with those chubby thighs showing all day long! But, little rocker was in a mood! She pretty much fussed or cried the whole party and made Mommy work extra hard this morning! Didn't she realize that Lillian was having 13 friends coming over today? I don't think so nor did she care! She put on her Rock Star attitude and snubbed her nose!

Finally, the food was out and everyone started arriving! Aerial came and set up her makeup station. She did all the girls make up, sprayed color hair spray in everyone's hair, put tattoos on arms and face painted all the faces of Lillian's friends. She was a BIG hit and I would hire her again! She was so pleasant and made the entertainment that much easier on me which made me smile. The girls especially loved Aerial and loved the makeup! Lillian said since she was 5 years old now she could wear mascara....I had to draw the line somewhere!

We ROCKED it out on stage. It took everyone a little while to get going, but then it all hit! The drums were banging, the singers were singing and the guitars were jamming! The disco balls were spinning and it reminded me of being in a club (long long time ago for me). But, it was awesome watching everyone jam away and just make NOISE NOISE and MORE NOISE!!!

We all had lunch in my playroom. We just had a picnic on the floor. The pizza delivery guy showed up and said,"I haven't seen this many kids in school!" He was a little intimidated by all the little ones and quickly got his tip and hit the road. :) In the middle of lunch, all the kiddos were telling me this was the best party ever and it made me smile. Then, my 5 year old walked up to me out of the blue and said, "Mommy, this is the best party ever. Everything is perfect! I love you!" Well, what more could I say? So, I cried! All the stress melted away with one big hug and smile from her. She is the best ROCKER ever!!!

We moved the party outside and it was time for PINATA!! Whack Whack Whack!!! All the kids got a turn hitting the pinata and finally it was candy time and it all came out and hit the ground. The kids rushed to get all the candy they could possibly get and filled their bags.

Then, it was caketime! The cake was amazing and delicious! I haven't had a piece yet, but I heard it was fantastic!!! Lillian made a wish, but wouldn't tell me! She knew it wouldn't come true then! hee hee

Lillian had a awesome day with friends! Thank you so much for everyone who came today to Rock it out with Lillian. It was awesome and we will have to do it again! Okay, not too soon!!! Love you my little Rock Star!!!! Good night!!

Chili's Birthday Dinner!!!

It was an exciting way to end Lillian's big birthday!! We went to dinner at Chili's with her good friends Bella, Marissa and Ayden. It was so much fun and I must admit the girls had gone wild! I think Ayden was in shock with seeing the girls act so silly at the dinner table. Lillian was just so happy to be with her friends and had waited all day for her special dinner. She picked to go to Chili's tonight for dinner. The girls were running around and Nikki, Bella and Marissa's mom, tried to distract the Three Amigos with stories and games, but nothing was as exciting as walking around the place with Lydia. Lydia set a bad example of staying in her seat! :)

Dinner was yummy and I asked the waitress to sing to Lillian and give her the Chocolate Molten Cake for dessert. I must say, I have never seen Lillian so speechless and surprised as when the waitresses and waiters started singing Happy Birthday to her. She look shocked! It was adorable! After they left the table, she kept asking how they knew it was her birthday. She honestly never put it together that I told them! :) So innocent and sweet! She shared her dessert with all her friends and never once complained. Then, out of the blue, she said, "Thank you for coming to my birthday dinner!" Melt my heart!!

On the way home, she kept asking me how they knew it was her birthday. She said that was the best part about her birthday today- Chili's dinner and the happy birthday song! Then, she rolled down her window and shouted to all the cars as we were going down the street, "Today is my birthdaaaaayyyyyy! If you want to sing happy birthday, then come to my house!" What a nut!

We made it home and now both girls are in dreamland and exhausted from their day of fun. And to think the party is Saturday? Lillian watched Hannah Montana on television while I put Lydia to bed tonight and she shouted to the television tonight, "See you next Thursday Hannah!"
Happy Birthday Sweetheart!!! Isn't 5 the best?? Mommy loves you and sweet dreams my love!!

Love,

Mommy

Ps
- I never cried this morning and I almost made it the whole day. Then, Lillian stole my heart and reminded me..."Mom, we were in the hospital 5 years ago today!" I know it is her birthday, but those feelings of being a mom came over me all over again. The best feelings and I remembered holding her..... speechless.

Lillian Turns 5!!!

The big day finally arrived...Lillian turned 5 years old at 12:03 this morning!!!! She was so happy when I walked in her room this morning. Last night when I put her to bed, I heard her singing in her room when she should have been sleeping. She was singing "Happy Birthday To ME!!!" What a hot mess!

She woke up early...I guess she had a lot to celebrate today. :) I walked in her room and was singing Happy Birthday to her this morning. It was nice that Lydia was sleeping in...I had some time with Lillian just one on one.
She couldn't wait to open her presents this morning. She didn't want to go to the bathroom, spruce up her hair or do anything before it was present time.

I bought her a little miniture drum set and electric guitar for her birthday. I thought I would start off small before we got the real deal in this house. And trust me...it is as loud as the big drum set! :0 Lillian loved it and has been asking for one for her party. For those of you who don't know yet, Lillian is having a Hannah Montana Rock-N-Roll birthday party this weekend. So, the drums and guitar fit in perfect!

Then, she opened her present from Daddy. It was the best present of all...can you guess what it was? HANNAH MONTANA CONCERT TICKETS!!!! YEA!!! Lillian and I will be going to the concert on October 15th in San Antonio. It will be her first concert and she is more than thrilled. She has been asking to see Miley in concert for months now and I kept telling her she was coming to this area. And now we are going!!! You should have seen her face...watch the video! hee hee Thanks daddy for the best present in the world!

And Daddy called this morning on Skype. Daddy sang Happy Birthday to Lillian and it made her whole day. She talked to him for 20 minutes online and told him it was her birthday. Like he didn't know! hee hee She loved seeing him for her birthday and it made the day perfect!

We had animal shaped pancakes this morning before leaving for open gym. No, it wasn't Hannah Montana pancakes...Lillian wanted animals. Thank goodness for that! :) So, dinner tonight with friends and then party time on Saturday! ROCK N ROLL FOREVER!!!

Love you all!

School Birthday Party!!!

Today was Lillian's school birthday party and she was so excited when she woke up this morning. I walked in her room and she said, "I am ready!" before I even got the light turned on. She was ready to get to school and get the show started!

Lillian got to wear the birthday crown this morning and all day. Lydia and I got to stay at school this morning for chapel and snack time. It was so much fun watching Lillian say the Pledge of Allegiance this morning and watching her in circle time. We only got to see a portion of circle time this morning because Lydia was being a chatter box and being too loud, so we got sent out to the hall time. I don't remember ever being put in detention when I was in school. ha ha

Finally, the kiddos all lined up and we went to chapel for Blessing of the Animals. Lillian has
chapel every school day, but this was a special time. Each child got to bring a stuffed animal to be blessed and Lillian brought a little doggie this morning that belonged to her friend Lily. Before the blessing, they sang their normal songs. Then, the big moment....it was happy birthday time for Lillian. She got to stand in front of the whole school and have all her friends sing to her. She was so excited!

After all the singing and chapel, then we went to snack time. Lillian brought along a cookie cake today for all her friends. It has a guitar on it since she is having a Hannah Montana Rock-N-Roll birthday party this weekend. She was thrilled to share it with all her friends this morning.

This morning was big success considering both girls are having allergy problems. They both look pitiful with red itchy eyes, runny nose and coughs. The doctor told me it was just allergies and it breaks my heart to see them both under the weather on such a special day for Lillian. Darn Texas weather! :) But, I don't think it kept Lillian from enjoying her special day at school!

Now, off to the races for the BIG 5 tomorrow!!!

Love you all!

Open House!!!

Tonight was Open House at St. Francis. Lillian was so excited for me to meet her school friends and show off her school work. It is so nice seeing Lillian so excited for school and I only hope she continues that excitement through her school years. I know it won't always be so pleasant and happy because it will get harder each year she is in school, but I hope she fosters the friends and friendships she will have because of school and appreciate the "light at the end of the tunnel."

They also had a book fair tonight. Lillian picked out her book and then we picked out two books for her classroom. The teacher picks out a "Wish List" of books she would like for her classroom and the parents may purchase those books for the classroom. So, Lillian picked out two books for Mrs. Sweeden and then went and gave them to her. Mrs. Sweeden was thrilled with Lillian's books! It made Lillian smile ear to ear!

Lillian had a couple of friends already there when we arrived this evening. And one little boy was particularly waiting on Lillian...Chase. His mom came right up to me and said this must be Lillian. Chase calls her "Wiwwian!" I said yes and she said that Chase talks about Lillian all the time. He came home from school the other day and said, "Mom, Wiwwian had a flower in her hair today." She said, "Really?" He said, "Yes and she looked HOT!!!" I laughed so hard and I think that is the first time my little darling has been called hot and it was so innocent too. She is a beautiful little girl and stole my heart a long time ago!

Thanks Chase for a great memory tonight! Now, let's see what her Daddy thinks?

Love you all!

Lily's 4th Birthday Party!

This morning we hit the Princess Party for our great friend Lily. She turned 4 years old earlier this week and her birthday party was today. Everyone had such a great time playing together. Jessica had decorated the house so nice for Lily and she put a lot of hard work into her party. And it paid off for a great morning!

Lillian enjoyed playing with all her friends. She always has so much fun with her girlfriends Lily and Allyson. They all did a craft together, played Pin the Tail on the Donkey and played in Lily's room all morning. Lydia had a lot of fun too walking all over the house playing with balloons. She loves balloons and kept taking all of them for herself and dragging them all over the house. Silly girl!

We all had a nice lunch and enjoyed birthday cake and ice cream. And yes, Lydia jumped right in for the ice cream and ended up coming home in a diaper. She had it all over her princess tutu! So, clothes off and belly hanging out for the car ride and the rest of the party! :)

And Lily's best birthday present was having her daddy home from Afghanistan for 2 weeks! Eric made it home the day before her birthday. She is loving every minute with daddy and so is her younger brother, Jack. I think that was the only present she needed this year! Lillian was thrilled to meet Eric and said he was so nice to her! :) Welcome home Eric! Happy Birthday Lily! Thanks for a great party!

Love,

Julie

First Pumpkins!!

Last night the girls and I "carved" Lydia's first pumpkin! Okay, this is the best we could do without Dad! We decorate pumpkins every year using one of these kits and Lillian has always loved it and looked forward to it every fall. This year she picked the Vampire for her pumpkin and Frankenstein for Lydia's pumpkin.

Lillian had a great time helping me this year. She wanted to help make the little holes and put all the pieces in them. She did a great job helping me out and it is amazing how little time it took this year. She is getting older and these projects are becoming easier for her and me! She is a great helper and helps all the time with Lydia too. She even lets Lydia pick first sometimes...not at all times! She is a great big sister!

I am not sure how Lydia felt about her first pumpkin, but she did try to pick it up! She was more interested in just walking around outside and I made her quite mad when I wouldn't let her wander the street alone. She thinks she owns this neighborhood and doesn't mind walking in the middle of the street with those tiny little feet. She doesn't realize how big a car is compared to her little body! She also didn't want to take pictures with her pumpkin...that was another tantrum. She has such a little temper at times! :)

Finally, we got the pumpkins finished and I let the girls go outside to play for a little while before bedtime.
It was a fun family project and a great way to start the Fall season. Next, painting pumpkins. :) This should be interesting....

Love you all and Happy Fall!
Julie
